Helped send over 25 kids to camp (music camps, camps for children with neurobiological disorders and more).

Helped co-fund and subsidize program costs for kids when their families are unable to pay (for music lessons and sports).

Subsidized cost of materials for local non-profit organizations that run summer camps and workshops for kids (in science, art, theatre, heritage, language, for kids with physical disabilities and more).

Helped with equipment and related costs for children’s organized sports and kids recreational programs and activities (including figure skating, curling, basketball, cross-country skiing, sailing, swimming, lacrosse, hockey and more).

Nearly $230,000 has been granted to local food banks, and an additional $13,500 has been granted to support organizations that provide hot lunches and Christmas dinners for individuals and families in need.

Granted $15,750 to programs that provide Christmas baskets and children’s gifts for underprivileged families.

Helped provide volunteer training and funding for victim crisis support, grief support, women and family resource centres and programs for at-risk youth.

Provided 305 scholarships worth over $188,800 to students in our area pursuing post-secondary education.

Granted $25,800 to local schools and educational institutions for academic excellence awards, snack programs and more.

Granted $209,000 from Community Cancer Care to provide financial, emotional and group support for patients dealing with cancer in our area.

Granted $124,400 to support hospitals (Temiskaming Hospital and Englehart & Area Hospital) and their programs.

Funded projects to make our community more accessible (for transportation, public parks, wheelchair ramps and more).

Funded community improvement projects, such as community gardens, cenotaph restorations, repairs and additions to arenas and other facilities and more.

Granted nearly $211,000 to local libraries for books, kids programs, projects and more.

Supported projects to create and improve recreational facilities (track surface, skateboard parks, trails, arenas, baseball field, public pools, local parks and more).

Helped fund projects to revitalize and improve public parks, beaches and wildlife conservation areas in our community.

Granted nearly $138,000 to sports. Of that amount,

  • $36,350 went towards cross country and downhill skiing/snowboarding programs, trails, repairs, and equipment
  • Over $25,000 went towards curling, figure skating and minor hockey for general and children’s equipment
  • $20,000 towards training equipment, repairs and children’s programs for swimming and sailing
  • Nearly $15,400 went towards training, equipment and more for basketball, soccer, lacrosse and gymnastics
  • Granted over $16,300 to help subsidize costs for organized sports, allowing kids in need to participate
